Senate committee OKs change to Missouri’s Nonpartisan Court Plan

A state Senate committee has endorsed legislation to change Missouri’s Nonpartisan Court Plan. The proposed constitutional amendment by Sen. Jim Lembke, R-St. Louis County, would, if approved by voters, give the governor more control over the commission that nominates appellate judges.
