Joan Archer moves practice to Armstrong Teasdale

Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of attorney Joan K. Archer as a partner in the Kansas City office. Archer is a member of the litigation practice group and handles intellectual property and complex litigation matters.

“Joan has established a strong reputation in the litigation field,” said Dan O’Toole, litigation practice group leader. “The depth and wisdom she can add will be an asset to our clients and invaluable as we continue to grow and diversify the practice.”

Archer’s intellectual property litigation experience includes trademark, patent and copyright litigation. She also manages trademark and trade dress policing programs and prosecutes trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

In the area of complex business litigation, Archer guides clients in cases regarding unfair competition, breach of contract, covenant not-to-compete, product liability and chemical exposure, securities arbitrations, municipalities and the environment.

Archer earned her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law. She is admitted to both the Missouri Bar and Kansas Bar.
