Pilfered primates yield jury award 
Sanctuary owner gets $58,000 and some of his monkeys back

An attorney for a Jackson County plaintiff said it was the merits of the case — and not the adorable month-old gibbon monkey he brought into the courtroom — that led a jury on June 7 to award his client more than he had asked for in a case of pilfered primates.
