A California telemarketing company will pay the state of Missouri $75,000 for making solicitation calls to Missourians whose names are on the state’s no-call list.
Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster announced today that he reached an assurance of voluntary compliance with Credexx Corp. based in Ivine, Calif. Credexx, doing business as Auto One Warranty Specialists, made robo calls to consumers in an attempt to sell car warranties.
In addition to the $75,000 fine, the agreement requires the company to comply with all state and federal laws regarding telemarketing and telephone solicitations or sales and to obtain the Missouri No-Call List, Koster said in a statement.
