The Office of Administration has a new deputy director and general counsel.
OA Commissioner Kelvin Simmons appointed Renee T. Slusher to the position. According to a press release, Slusher will be responsible for assisting with strategy planning and developing programs to “increase the efficiency and administration of the office.” Slusher, who formerly served a legal counsel of the agency, will also supervise legal matters and advise Simmons on daily operations.
Before working for OA, Slusher was an assistant attorney general in the consumer protection division of the attorney general’s office. She also was the chairwoman of the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission.
Slusher is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law.
