Another law firm has pledged a large donation to Legal Services of Eastern Missouri to help its goal of providing equal justice to low-income individuals.
The organization announced that Spencer Fane Britt & Browne’s St. Louis office has committed to donating $50,000 to its First Annual Bar Campaign. The campaign will contribute to the organization’s ongoing services to provide legal assistance to the low-income community in 21 counties of eastern Missouri.
The organization said the donation will be made over five years, with Spencer Fane planning to give $10,000 a year.
The goal of the Legal Services campaign is to the raise $600,000 a year for three years. Since the campaign was launched, the organization said it has raised more than $500,000. Other firms to announce large donations include Bryan Cave and Husch Blackwell Sanders. Thompson Coburn also donated to the organization to extend a staff position.
