Ex-Betonsports CEO pleads guilty in Web gambling case

Former Betonsports Plc Chief Executive Officer David Carruthers pleaded guilty in an illegal-gambling case filed by the U.S. Justice Department. Betonsports, now bankrupt, took in $1.25 billion in 2004, with 98 percent coming from bets made through its Web sites, according to court papers.
