Attorney Chet Pleban, second from left, stands with his clients, Century Dodge Chrysler owner Frank Mock, left, and his sons Kevin, on right, and Brian, not pictured, at a press conference on Wednesday at the Wentzville car dealership announcing the filing of a lawsuit against Chrysler for evil and irresponsible intentions towards the dealership.
Last month, Kevin Mock, co-sales manager of the family-owned business, said the dealership was pursuing legal action against the automaker for unfairly terminating their franchise.
Chrysler has asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan to approve the rejection of the franchise contracts with 789 dealers nationwide as part of the automaker’s reorganization plan.
Mock said that Chrysler’s action against his dealership is the result of an ongoing legal dispute they have with the automaker.
His father, Frank Mock, the dealership’s president and owner, went even further, saying this is the result of a “vendetta” Chrysler has with Century.
