The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives has confirmed that it executed a search warrant last Friday on the Kirkwood home of Mark R. Bates, who formerly was Beth Boggs’ law partner.
The St. Louis Beacon cited an unnamed source who said ATF agents seized a box of undisclosed items that they are testing to determine whether there’s a connection to the Oct. 1 bombing of the home of Beth and T. Darin Boggs.
An ATF spokeswoman said the search warrant was filed under seal and that the ATF was working with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s Bomb and Arson Squad.
Bates did not immediately return a phone call to his office. He is now a partner at Rynearson, Suess, Schnurbusch & Champion.
