Rotating shifts ‘essential’ part of ADA claimant’s job

An employee whose diabetes prevented her from working rotating shifts could not sue for disability discrimination because she was unable to perform one of the “essential functions” of her job,” the 8th Circuit has ruled in affirming a summary judgment.
