WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT? Attorney General Koster gave me the authority to implement an enforcement program for the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s animal welfare laws. … Because of my work, thousands of animals no longer suffer in unlicensed or substandard living conditions.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE U.S. SUPREME COURT JUSTICE? The Hon. Sonia Sotomayor. She exhibits the strength and integrity of a woman who overcame significant obstacles, including poverty, discrimination and health problems in order to assume the position as chief role model to any woman working in the legal profession.

WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST FEAR? Student loans.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN? I spend as much time as possible outdoors, whether canoeing Missouri Ozark streams, biking the Katy Trail, hiking one of Missouri’s nationally renowned state parks or taking an urban stroll with my dogs.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUNG LAWYERS? Speak with the confidence and authority that can only come from careful study and thorough preparation, and you will be fine.
