Unemployment Compensation : Denial Of Benefits – Voluntary Quit – Good Cause

Where a teacher resigned because she claimed her employer was violating state regulations regarding child-to-staff ratios and her employer dismissed her concerns, case law did not require that the teacher was required to first contact the applicable state regulatory agency, so the commission’s rationale that she lacked good cause because she did not contact the agency was unsupported, and the denial of unemployment compensation benefits is reversed and remanded.

Judgment is reversed and remanded.
