Susan L. McGreevy has devoted her long career to addressing the legal challenges of the construction industry. After graduating from George Washington University Law School, she was a trial attorney at the Department of Justice, where she represented the U.S. in construction litigation. She has been in private practice since 1977.
What are some of your proudest career accomplishments? Helping law students and other lawyers advance themselves.
What inspired you to get involved in the justice system? Love of solving problems.
What has been your favorite part of the job? Learning something new every day. It has never ended
What is something that would surprise people about you? I am a cancer survivor.
What is the best advice you’ve ever given or received? Do what you love. If you don’t love it, you will never be happy and never do it as well.
When you were growing up, what did you want to be? I had no idea. I grew up when girls were raised to “get married.” I hit college at just the right time!
