After six years focusing on family law, Nicole Fisher chose to open her own law firm to focus on the field in 2015. She is also assistant secretary for the executive committee of the Association of Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City.
What are your proudest career accomplishments?
My proudest career accomplishments include clerking for Judge Marco Roldan in Jackson County, starting my own firm before the age of 30 and working with people in my office share who I LOVE.
What inspired you to get involved in the public service or justice system?
I come from a family that values public service and I thought the way I could best serve the public was within the justice system.
What is something that would surprise people about you?
I am actually a pretty shy person. I am not outgoing by nature!
What is the best advice you have ever been given or received?
Being an attorney is a privilege. Never take that privilege for granted.
When you were growing up, what did you want to be?
Growing up I wanted to be a marine biologist because I loved animals. I still love animals and have a couple but none are the penguins and killer whales I envisioned.
What has been your favorite part of your job?
I love the satisfaction I get when I know a client has obtained the best possible result given the facts and circumstances presented.
