Criminal Law: Search- Protective Sweep

Stephanie Maniscalco//April 14, 2016

Where an officer opened the door of defendant’s camper to announce his presence to a person whom the defendant said was inside the camper and in the process the officer observed contraband, the officer had reasonable suspicion to conduct a protective sweep after the defendant’s arrest, so denial of the defendant’s suppression motion is affirmed.

Judgment is affirmed.
