Five IP lawyers leave Harness for Husch

Five intellectual property attorneys, including nationally recognized patent litigator Rudy Telscher, have left Harness Dickey to join Husch Blackwell’s St. Louis office.

Telscher, along with Kara Fussner, Steven Holtshouser and David Nester, will join Husch Blackwell as partners, and Daisy Manning will join as an associate.

Telscher was the lead attorney in Octane Fitness LLC v. Icon Health & Fitness Inc., a 2014 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that lowered the threshold for awarding attorneys’ fees in patent infringement cases. Missouri Lawyers Weekly honored Telscher with an “Influential Appellate Advocate” award at its 2015 Missouri Lawyer Awards in recognition of the case.

Fussner has maintained an active intellectual property and commercial litigation practice for nearly two decades. She received her law degree from Boston University.

Holtshouser, a former federal prosecutor, has over 30 years of federal jury trial and appellate experience. He received his law degree from Washington University.

Nester has defended companies for nearly three decades. He earned his law degree from Southern Illinois University.

Manning focuses on intellectual property litigation in the areas of patents, trade secrets, trademarks and copyrights. She earned her law degree from Washington University.
