Described by colleagues as an industry front-runner and a natural leader, Frank Koranda Jr., has successfully represented over $6 billion in completed mergers and acquisitions.
“He is a go-to source for mergers, offerings, divestitures and financial reorganizations,” writes his nominator. “Frank is a self-motivator and his dedication to his work has created trusting and long-lasting relationships with our clients.”
As dedicated as he is with his clients, he is also generous with his time when it comes to the larger community. An alumnus of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Centurions Leadership Program, he has been involved with Sunflower House, The Children’s Place and Team Smile.
What has been your favorite moment as an attorney?
I always enjoy assisting entrepreneurs [when they] exit companies they started. While the transaction is a process, the history and stories leading to the sale are always intriguing and inspiring. It’s a privilege to help entrepreneurs realize years of hard work, risk and sacrifice.
What advice do you have for young lawyers?
Be patient, intellectually curious and work hard. The early years of law are challenging and the learning curve is steep, however, every lawyer was there once and the learning curve does flatten. Additionally, find a good mentor and later become one.
