A crowd of attorneys, family members and well-wishers gathered in St. Louis to recognize promising newcomers to Missouri’s legal field.

Missouri Lawyers Media recognized 47 honorees at its annual Up & Coming Awards luncheon on Oct. 12. The awards recognize outstanding Missouri attorneys who are under the age of 40 or within their first 10 years of practice. The program also recognizes long-term career attorneys who have dedicated themselves to mentoring newcomers to the legal field.

The publication received a competitive pool of nominations from across the state for the award, Publisher Liz Irwin said as she welcomed honorees and their guests to the event at the Missouri Athletic Club.

“To be nominated for this award means an attorney had a remarkable and positive professional impact on someone, for someone, with someone — so much so that the someone took the time to reach out to us and share,” Irwin said. “To be selected for this award, among literally scores of worthy nominations, is without a doubt a testament to outstanding and consistent contributions to Missouri’s legal community.”
