Civil Practice: Firearm Possession-Jury Instruction-Course Of Conduct

Where a defendant challenged his conviction for unlawful possession of a firearm, the judgment is affirmed because the verdict director did not violate the defendant’s right to a unanimous verdict because the offense criminalizes a continuing course of conduct so the instruction did not need to identify any one component act for a unanimous verdict, and the trial court also did not abuse its discretion in allowing evidence that the defendant pointed a gun at his wife because the evidence was relevant to the issue of possession and was not unduly prejudicial.

Judgment is affirmed.
