Employment: Workers’ Compensation-Review of Compromise Settlement

Plaintiff appealed from the dismissal of his petition to change or review a compromise settlement with defendant, in which plaintiff alleged that he had a worsening condition and thus the award in the settlement should be increased. The commission ruled that it lacked statutory authority to consider plaintiff’s petition.

Where a compromise settlement was not an “award” that was subject to review under the commission’s statutory authority, the commission correctly concluded that it lacked jurisdiction to consider plaintiff’s petition.

Judgment is affirmed.
