Jennifer Maloney said she wanted to be a lawyer since she was a child.
“Most likely [it was] as a result of watching too many legal dramas on network television,” she said. “I love my job because it is always changing, and I never know what each day might bring.”
A litigator for her entire career, Maloney said her favorite career moments involve appearing in court and representing her clients. Maintaining client relationships and continuing to advocate for her clients through the turbulence of the COVID-19 pandemic are her outstanding career accomplishments for 2020, she said.
In addition to her practice, Maloney serves as an arbitrator with the St. Clair County, Illinois, Bar Association and is its immediate past president. She also helps to train and mentor younger lawyers and manages the summer clerk program for her firm’s office in St. Louis.
A professional associate described Maloney as “an extraordinary attorney who has made a name for herself in the male-dominated trucking industry by becoming lead counsel for one of the biggest trucking companies in America. She is also committed to her community as a volunteer and has served on the board for a local domestic violence shelter.”
