Jonathan Benevides once competed in the brisket category of the American Royal World Series of Barbecue. Unfortunately, his team finished last.
Whatever the merits of his culinary adventures, his legal abilities always have earned top honors. It took just eight years for him to be promoted to member at Baker Sterchi, where he has spent his career. He recently was invited to become a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, and this year he achieved a major win for a national transportation company by obtaining a dismissal of 40 charges against a client accused of violations of the National Labor Relations Act.
“Jon is one of our brightest young lawyers,” a nominator wrote. “He is zealous in advocating for his clients, dedicated in his service as a firm leader and mentor, and well-regarded by colleagues and opponents alike.”
