Legal Secretary: Legal Assistant, Gausnell, O’Keefe & Thomas
Lori Martin Schweickert started right out of high school working as a legal secretary, and for more than 30 years she’s assisted the same group of lawyers at a series of firms in St. Louis.
Her duties include opening new files, client communication, file management, billing and making sure deadlines are met. At a deeper level, Schweickert is committed to maintaining the image and success of her law firm and its attorneys. With her decades of experience, she takes the lead in training and managing associates and staff.
Her nominator called her “the biggest team player I have ever worked with.”
“’I will get it done,’ or ‘I will handle it’ is all I need to hear from her and I know that it will be done right,” her nominator wrote.
