Paralegal: Paralegal, Watkins Law Firm
Nyree Bradley joined the Watkins Law Firm, a firm in O’Fallon with practice areas ranging from family law to estate planning to criminal defense, in 2017. She handles everything from drafting documents to preparing for hearings, while managing the office’s files and communicating with clients and court personnel.
“Her people skills are excellent and she does a tremendous job on handling numerous chores and keeping the office on line,” her nominator wrote.
Bradley was still finishing paralegal school when she joined the firm, and her education isn’t over. She was recently accepted at Saint Louis University School of Law.
What have been your key accomplishments in this role?
One key accomplishment while in this role was being recognized as having exceptional customer service. I pride myself in creating an optimistic and client-centric environment for the firm. We genuinely care about our clients and are deeply committed to assisting them with their respective legal needs.
What is the best part of your job?
Serving clients through pleadings and prayer. As a Christian, I was fortunately blessed with an opportunity to work alongside other believers. Both our attorney and his wife, Michael B. Watkins and Marilyn Watkins, are Christians and have dramatically impacted my spiritual life in such a positive way.
What is the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Have a great attitude! It is so easy to get caught up in the stress of our challenging day-to-day work activities. Having the skill to be optimistic and friendly to others makes the stress of our jobs so much more manageable.
What is something that would surprise people about you?
In addition to being a paralegal, I am also a law school student at Saint Louis University and a mother of three wonderful little boys. Most people are surprised by the level of stress that I am effectively able to handle simultaneously. My secret? Faith, perseverance and a large cup of coffee every morning!
