Venus Jackson, who opened her solo practitioner in her native St. Louis in 2009, serves as a guardian ad litem in the metropolitan area.
In 2020, Jackson served on a special committee of GALs that submitted a report on proposed legislative changes to the work that GALs do in advocating for children in family court proceedings. She also previously served on a Missouri Supreme Court committee that established new standards for GALs.
Jackson is a former Court Appointed Special Advocate for St. Louis County. She serves as financial secretary for the Mound City Bar Association and is a past member of the executive committee of the St. Louis County Bar Association.
She earned her law degree from the University of Akron in 2007 and served as a law clerk for the Ohio Court of Common Pleas. She also holds an MBA in management from Lincoln University in Jefferson City and a master’s certificate in Biblical studies from Liberty University.
