Education Law 2021
There’s no institution more familiar to the average person than the school system. Schools educate, house, feed and entertain our children throughout the day. A large of part of homeowners’ tax bills (and for those who’ve opted for private schooling, a large part of their paychecks) goes to keep those schools running. And of course, many students’ educations continue well into adulthood as they attend college.
Those schools need teachers and administrators, but they also need lawyers. Legal issues for school districts range from regulatory compliance to student discipline to the latest hot-button social issues. In this latest edition of THE POWER List, a regular feature from Missouri Lawyers Media, we examine the most powerful attorneys in education law.
Our editorial team interviewed lawyers and other leaders around the state, reviewed records of verdicts and settlements, and consulted Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s archives to arrive at a list of what we believe are the 31 most powerful education attorneys in Missouri.
As always, our readers might disagree with some of our picks. We urge you to let us know what you think we got right, and where we went wrong. Tell us who else we should have considered. And keep an eye out for new versions of THE POWER List in 2022!
