Ginger Gooch’s practice includes representation of public and private educational institutions from pre-kindergarten to higher education, on matters ranging from employment issues to construction disputes.
Gooch served as president of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association in 2017 and went on to lead the related Springfield Metropolitan Bar Foundation. She also is chair of the board of the American Red Cross of Southern Missouri and previously was on the board of Discovery Center of Springfield.
Gooch has sought several judicial vacancies under the Nonpartisan Court Plan and was a finalist in 2019 for a circuit judgeship in Greene County. She also has served on the Missouri Supreme Court’s Civil Rules Committee, which helps to draft court rules that govern civil litigation.
She also worked pro bono to help free a man after 17 years in prison, as he had been wrongly tried and convicted in state court for a crime that took place on federal property.
Gooch earned her law degree from the University of Missouri in 2000 and went on to clerk for former Missouri Supreme Court Judge Ann Covington. Missouri Lawyers Media named her a Rising Star as part of the 2012 Women’s Justice Awards.
