Missouri Lawyers Media hosted a preview of the 2022 legislative session in Jefferson City on Jan. 13 with members of the House and Senate who are also attorneys.

Missouri Lawyers Media hosted a preview of the 2022 legislative session in Jefferson City on Jan. 13 with members of the House and Senate who are also attorneys.

The keynote speaker was Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, who discussed redistricting and election reform measures before the legislature this session.

Panelists also discussed COVID-19 protocols, the state budget, tort reform, abortion and proposed parents’ rights bills. Panelists included Rep. Phil Christofinelli, Rep. Ian Mackey, Rep. Peter Meredith, Rep. Wes Rogers, Rep. Robert Sauls, Sen. Steve Roberts and Sen. Barbara Anne Washington. Missouri Lawyers Weekly Senior Reporter Scott Lauck and Husch Blackwell Office Managing Partner Lowell Pearson moderated the virtual event.
