Armstrong Teasdale, St. Louis
Jeff McPherson earned his law degree in 1994 from Saint Louis University and went on to clerk for Missouri Supreme Court Judge Ann K. Covington. Nearly three decades later, he frequently returns to that court, as well as the Missouri Court of Appeals and various other courts, to represent parties in high stakes appeals.
McPherson was in the Supreme Court earlier this year to defend his own firm in an unusual employment discrimination claim that seeks to name Armstrong Teasdale as a party for statements an attorney allegedly made to the worker. The court has not yet ruled in the case.
In 2018, McPherson helped win a Supreme Court ruling that confirmed the authority of the Missouri Conservation Commission to regulate private preserves dedicated to the breeding and hunting of deer and elk.
McPherson has been a finalist on multiple occasions for judicial vacancies, most recently for the Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District. In 2020, he received the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis’ President’s Award. He is also a member of the board of the St. Louis Bar Foundation.
