Paralegal: Paralegal, Spradlin Kennedy Law Firm
Steven Garcia is the office manager and a paralegal at Spradlin Kennedy Law Firm in Kansas City. After earning a degree in history from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Garcia worked at the sports footwear company Vans, as an administrative assistant at the Kansas City Municipal Courthouse, and as an outreach coordinator for Colorado program providing services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual offenses. He joined the team at Spradlin Kennedy nearly three years ago.
“I’ve been employee of the month 30 months in a row and counting,” Garcia said. “Another key accomplishment is being chosen for Unsung Heroes.”
What led you to choose a career in the legal field?
I’ve had numerous jobs that have involved the legal field, however this is my first job on the defense side.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is seeing our firm succeed. Every positive review, every new client, every new case, affirms to me that we are excellent at what we do.
What is the best career advice you’ve ever received?
When making career decisions, always do what’s best for you and your future plans.
What is something that would surprise people about you?
I am covered head to toe in tattoos, have an affinity for collecting hot wheels, and love racing bicycles.
