Legal Secretary: Executive Legal Assistant, Gray Ritter Graham
Tina Williams’ workday can change with a single phone call or email while supporting six attorneys at Gray Ritter Graham.
Williams keeps the firm’s business and commercial litigation team organized and ensures it moves forward on cases for its clients. She said her ability to roll with changes has been an asset through the pandemic.
A teacher in 1983 was the first to encourage Williams to apply for a part-time summer position at a law firm. That firm offered her a full-time position after graduation.
“I remained in this field to help others,” Williams said.
What is the best career advice you’ve received?
The best life advice came from my father and that advice carries over in my career. I was told to always be able to take care of yourself both emotionally and financially, work hard and keep a smile on your face. With our stressful work environment, keeping a positive outlook and a smile will keep you grounded, centered and able to tackle anything coming your way.
What is something that would surprise people about you?
When I was younger, I wanted to be a nurse and a hairdresser.
