The family of a man killed in a collision with a cement mixer reached an $11 million settlement, according to their attorney.
Frank J. Niesen III of the Law Offices of Frank J. Niesen Jr. in St. Louis said the decedant was a passenger in a vehicle that was T-boned when the cement mixer truck ran a red light. The man’s injuries resulted in his death a week later.
Niesen said a lawsuit was brought against the driver of the cement mixer and the company that owned it. Niesen said the result in the case was due in part to the accident having been caught on video, which he said disproved the mixer driver’s initial description of how the accident occurred.
Other details in the case were confidential, Niesen said.
