Husch Blackwell Partner Jeff Jensen is a former accountant, FBI special agent and U.S. Attorney.
Jeff Jensen first joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office in St. Louis in 1999, after spending a decade in white-collar crime with the FBI.
In 2005, fellow POWER List honoree Catherine Hanaway appointed him to be second-in-command at the office as executive U.S. Attorney.
In 2009, he briefly entertained private practice Jensen, Bartlett & Schelp after Hanaway was replaced during President Barack Obama’s administration. The firm absorbed into Husch in 2013.
In 2017, then-President Donald Trump appointed Jensen as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri. While holding the office, he oversaw federal prosecutions including white-collar crime, public corruption, terrorism, organized crime, firearms and narcotics. He also defended the United States in civil cases and collect debts.
Jensen also represented U.S. Attorneys from the 8th Circuit while serving on the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee.
He resigned to join Hanaway at Husch Blackwell in 2020.
Jensen earned his law degree from Saint Louis University.
