Brian Peterson has a well-earned reputation as a thought leader both within his firm and in the business community. He is co-editor of the Spencer Fane WorkSmarts: Workplace Solutions blog for the Labor & Employment practice group and has made numerous presentations and authored several articles during his time with the firm that contribute to discourse on important legal issues businesses and HR departments face.

Peterson points to perseverance as the one characteristic he believes makes him a successful lawyer. “I am always able to help my clients push through the hard times and reach favorable resolutions,” he writes.

Over the past nine years, Peterson has developed significant experience defending businesses and managers accused of employment law violations and he handles all aspects of employment litigation and is consistently sought out as a resource for labor and employment matters.

What do you consider your favorite moment as an attorney?

Choosing to join Spencer Fane. It is the best law firm in the world.

Why did you choose to enter the legal profession?

I enjoy public speaking and analyzing complex issues.

If you hadn’t become a lawyer, what profession would you have chosen?

I would have been a human resources manager.
