Judges named in Greene, Clay counties

Staff Report//November 21, 2022

Gov. Mike Parson has elevated T. Todd Myers to the Greene County circuit bench and appointed Calan T. McConkey as a Clay County associate circuit judge.

Myers, who currently serves as an associate circuit judge in Greene County, will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Thomas E. Mountjoy. He was among 18 applicants that the 31st Circuit Judicial Commission interviewed earlier in November. The other finalists were Joshua B. Christensen and Kaiti Greenwade.

McConkey, of McConkey & Bowen in Liberty, earned his law degree from the University of Missouri. He will fill the vacancy created by the appointment of Judge Alisha O’Hara to the circuit bench. The 7th Circuit Judicial Commission nominated him, along with Kelly R. Ruark and Peter W. Schloss, in October from a pool of eight applicants.
