Richard Schnake’s appellate cases have an expansive range, from contract law to domestic relations.
He’s also submitted at least 300 trademark applications to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Schnake convinced the Missouri Supreme Court to drop a case in 2019. In a dispute between two contractors that required a clarification through appeal, Schnake abandoned the point at issue. The court shot the case back to the Missouri Court of Appeals Southern District.
Schnake earned his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He clerked for Missouri Supreme Court Judge Warren D. Welliver before he joined Neale & Newman in 1983. He’s been a partner at the firm since 1988.
In 2003, he was a finalist for the Southern District, where he regularly files appeals. He is a longtime member of the Supreme Court of Missouri Historical Society.
