Haar & Woods, St. Louis
Companies look to Bob Haar when their cases are escalating past the trial court.
Haar clerked in the U.S. Court of Appeals in D.C. and the U.S. Supreme Court after he earned his law degree from Yale in 1977. He co-founded Haar & Woods in 1997.
Haar’s practice encompasses business litigation, constitutional and appellate litigation, criminal defense and internal investigations, and professional liability. Haar was part of the attorney team that represented the St. Louis Rams and its owner Stan Kroenke in the team’s move from St. Louis to Los Angeles, finalized in 2021.
Haar also represented the insurer for The Doe Run Resources Corp. In 2017, the Missouri Supreme Court determined that the insurance policy’s “pollution exclusion” didn’t require his client to defend Doe Run from a set of lawsuits.
He previously served on the St. Louis Board of Commissioners from 1994 to 1998. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation.
