The POWER List 2023: Dana Frese

Dana FreseHealthcare Services Group Jefferson City

Earlier this year, Dana Frese went before a state Senate committee to testify in support of a bill that would shorten the statute of limitations for personal injury suits to two years, down from the current five.

It’s the latest in a long list of proposed changes to Missouri’s tort laws that Frese, who was testifying on behalf of the Missouri Hospital Association and the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyer, has helped shape.

Frese serves as president and CEO for Healthcare Services Group, a management company for professional and general liability insurance companies. He previously was the organization’s executive vice president and general counsel.

Frese is a past president of the MODL and serves on the board of the Missouri Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association. He is also part of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the CPCU Society, DRI and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.

He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri in 1987.
