Brown & James, St. Louis
Halle Dimar has racked up defense wins on behalf of providers in the last 10 years.
In 2019, she was part of the team that clinched one of the top defense wins that year. A St. Louis County jury sided with the hospital after weighing a medical malpractice claim from the family of a man who had died 12 days after he was admitted to the hospital for atrial fibrillation.
She also was on the team that won the fifth-largest defense win in 2015, which involved allegations that a Hannibal medical clinic and an obstetrician perforated a woman’s bowel during a hysterectomy.
The second-largest defense win in 2010 also involved Dimar. A St. Louis jury delivered a unanimous defense verdict in just under an hour. A man had alleged his doctor’s diagnosis led him to lose parts of his intestines.
Dimar earned her law degree from Saint Louis University in 2006 and joined Brown & James’ health care liability practice group. She worked her way up to principal in 2014.
