Kirk Doan’s health care practice ranges from practice acquisition and hospital contracting and construction to business operations and regulatory compliance.

He previously was general counsel for the Metropolitan Medical Society of Greater Kansas City for several years and served on its board of directors. He’s also served on the American Bar Association’s Commercial Advisory Council Board, Central Region, on affairs of health care entities. He also has served on the board of directors of the Kansas City Metro Chapter of the American Heart Association.

Doan’s wife is a practicing OB/GYN and his son is an orthopedic surgery resident, and he regularly represents medical professionals like those in his family: physicians and surgeons as well as pharmacists and dentists and medical practices.

Doan is a past president of both the Lawyers Association of Kansas City and its related Lawyers Association Foundation of Kansas City. He is a former Missouri State Medical Associative Alliance legislative chairman.

Doan earned his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1978.
