Jim Seaman brings more than 30 years of experience in transactions to his clients’ needs.
Seaman handles buying and selling businesses as well as real estate and its development, mergers, recapitalizations and other kinds of corporate restructurings.
Seaman forms limited liability companies and corporations, and crafts documents that define member and shareholder relationships and exit strategies. He regularly works with contracts required for day-to-day operations, including agreements regarding employment, confidentiality, product supply, terms and conditions, distributors, leases and licensing. Seaman also has represented financial institutions on asset-based lending, real estate-secured loans and other financing transactions, as well as matters involving regulatory compliance.
Seaman works with clients in the United States and abroad. He facilitates the needs of international clients acquiring and establishing companies overseas and establishing distribution and agency relationships, advising clients on U.S. law compliance for international business transactions.
Seaman earned his law degree from George Washington University in 1980.
