Jonathan Margolies’ practice has great range while also maintaining his specialty in mergers and acquisitions.
Margolies has represented sellers of real estate, health clubs and assets, trucking company assets and restaurant assets. He also has facilitated buyers’ acquisitions of juice company assets, an automotive dealership and dealership real estate. He also has represented a developer in a hospitality industry project.
Margolies counsels corporate entities as well as entrepreneurs and startups. In addition to Margolies’ transactional work, his practice encompasses corporate formation, governance, restructuring and reorganization. He also handles banking law, enforcement of creditor rights, secured transactions, debtor-creditor relations, corporate bankruptcies and workouts, business litigation and appellate practice.
Margolies co-chairs his firm’s business transactions and financial restructuring groups. He co-chairs the sports and entertainment law committee for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
Margolies earned his law degree from the College of William and Mary in 1980.
