Missouri’s Top 20 Law Firms 2023: Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner

The worldwide firm now called Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner is celebrating its 150th birthday.
Its roots began in 1873 in St. Louis with the firm then known as King, Phillips & Stewart. It existed in a building across the street from the firm’s current St. Louis office, which remains its largest in the United States.
Part of the firm’s name comes from partner P. Taylor Bryan, whose name was added in 1916. Rhodes Cave joined the firm the following year.
The legacy Bryan Cave firm grew to be Missouri’s largest, with operations throughout and beyond the United States. It merged in 2018 with London-based Berwin Leighton Paisner to create today’s global firm.
The firm has more than 1,200 lawyers in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. According to the MOney 2023, BCLP had $845.2 million in revenue in 2022.
