Managing Partner, St. Louis

Since 2017, Vincent Reese has served as managing partner of Mickes O’Toole, a firm notable not only for its focus on education law but also as one of the largest minority-owned firms in the state.

In 2019, Missouri Lawyers Media recognized Reese in the Diversity & Inclusion Awards for his role in promoting diversity at his firm.

Reese has represented St. Louis Public Schools against a plaintiff who sought damages from an alleged sexual assault. Reese won in circuit court and before the Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District, affirming the dismissal of all claims on grounds of sovereign immunity and official immunity.

He serves as vice-chair of The Missouri Bar’s labor and employment law committee and a is member of the American Bar Association’s labor and employment law section.

He earned his law degree from Washington University in 1999 and serves as an adjunct law professor at Washington University School of Law where he teaches pre-trial fundamentals.
