Paul Venker has enjoyed a varied and challenging career beginning as soon as he graduated from law school.
He was a member of the Missouri Supreme Court’s research staff and served as a law clerk to then-Chief Justice Robert T. Donnelly. In 2016, he helped win a Missouri Supreme Court case that upheld the constitutionality of caps for noneconomic damages for certain medical malpractice and wrongful death cases.
Venker has handled dozens of appeals in numerous appellate courts since his first appeal at the Missouri Supreme Court in 1985. He also chaired the Freedom Suits Memorial committee, establishing a memorial recognizing enslaved people who sued for their freedom in Missouri before the Civil War.
