Attorney Luke Maher has 16 years of experience in construction and development law. Maher began his career as a general commercial litigator before being drawn into construction-related disputes — work he found compelling enough to build a practice around. He said what distinguishes the field is its scope: “The ability to work with clients through the entire project lifecycle is a rare experience in the legal field.”

Maher advises public and private clients on projects ranging from healthcare facilities and manufacturing plants to data centers, energy facilities and multifamily residential developments, handling matters from contract negotiation through dispute resolution, including design defects, project delays, mechanics liens and performance and payment bonds.

He represented BJC HealthCare in investigating and resolving construction issues at Parkview Tower and the St. Louis Children’s Hospital expansion. Maher is active in the ABA Forum on Construction Law, the Construction Users Roundtable and the Construction Law Foundation of Texas, and co-hosts a quarterly construction webinar focused on current industry issues and trends.
