Applicant demographics released for 22nd Circuit vacancy

The 22^nd Circuit Judicial Commission released demographic information for applicants to fill the associate circuit judge vacancy created by a gubernatorial appointment.

Fourteen applicants applied to fill the vacancy created by the appointment of Judge Catherine Dieker by Gov. Michael Kehoe to fill the circuit judge vacancy created by the retirement of Judge David C. Mason.

Of the applicants, five said they are female and three report being minority applicants, according to the commission. The applicants’ average age is 44.4 years.

Six of the applicants work in the private sector and eight work in the public sector.

Interviews for the vacancy are open to the public and are expected to take place on April 22 at 9 a.m. in the Division Courtroom at the Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District. The commission will select three finalists to submit to the governor for his consideration.
