Bank sues Spa WingHaven backers

The bank behind $4.36 million worth of loans for Spa WingHaven in O’Fallon is claiming that the spa has breached its agreements and demanding that some big-name backers pay up. Reliance Bank filed separate lawsuits against Fred Weber Chairman Thomas Dunne Sr., developer Paul McKee Jr., Lodging Hospitality Management Chairman Robert O’Loughlin, PFG Middendorf founder Orville J. Middendorf and Natoli Engineering Company Inc. President Carmelo Natoli on Feb. 18 in St. Louis County Circuit Court. The bank claims the men collectively guaranteed nearly all of the debt.

Bellington affiliate faces more suits

Distressed property company Bellington Realty’s largest affiliate is once again the target of litigation in St. Louis County Circuit Court. Eighteen Investments has been named as a defendant in two lawsuits and has had a more than half-million dollar judgment entered against it in a suit filed in 2010.
