‘Robin Hood intervenes’

The Missouri Supreme Court is considering the allegedly fuzzy line between county money and state funds.

An attorney for St. Charles County urged the court on Wednesday to strike down a $10 fee tacked onto the amount sheriffs charge to serve legal papers. The counties of St. Louis and St. Charles argue the law, enacted in 2008, is a violation of the state’s constitution.
