Letter from the Publisher

Please welcome the newest addition to the Missouri Lawyers Media family — Missouri In-House Counsel.

This inaugural issue of our new magazine is the latest in our ongoing effort to provide high-utility information to help Missouri attorneys meet the many challenges of such a demanding profession.

I’m sure you’re familiar with us through Missouri Lawyers Weekly and molawyersmedia.com, in which we distill legal news and issues into relevant content through the perspective of a Missouri attorney. With Missouri In-House Counsel, we just stoked the fire to further distill that information. Not only is the content pertinent to a Missouri attorney, but it is tailored to the unique attorney who juggles a variety of situations and issues on behalf of a single client: the in-house counsel.

As the broader business of law parses work in practice areas that evolve with the times, the in-house counsel serves one client in a critical role that requires broad legal knowledge . . . and expertise. You, as a hard-working in-house attorney, must be well-versed on multiple practice areas at any point in time.

As part of our mission to meet the needs of all Missouri attorneys, we introduce Missouri In-House Counsel.

Published quarterly, it is distributed to corporate counsel at companies throughout the state. Its companion website, www.missouriinhouse.com will launch in August, as will a weekly digital alert that will include a roundup of stories important to this special segment of lawyering.

It’s been a vigorous process to develop this publication and our future rollout of its ancillary digital components, but we know all things new can be refined. If there’s a change or addition you would like to see, let me know. I look forward to hearing from you.

In the meantime, enjoy reading! We sure enjoyed putting it together!
